Novel family of laser additives for every wavelength

The new BASF Lumogen® IR-product line is the result of several years of intense interdisciplinary research and development activities based on proven BASF colorant and pigment technology. Whereas the first two already well established members of this novel generation of additives, Lumogen® IR 765 and Lumogen® IR 788, are the perfect choice for semiconductor lasers with an emission wavelength of 808 nm, their newest addition to this product line, Lumogen® IR 1050, covers the popular wavelength regimes around 940/980 and 1064 nm. Lumogen® IR 765 and Lumogen® IR 788
provide UV and thermal resistance on
a level which up to now has only been
reached by inorganic materials.
At the same time they can be processed
as easily as classical organic polymer
additives.
